Barium titanate based Complex Microwave Dielectrics with the tungsten-bronze structure and the compositional formula Ba6-3xR8+2xTi18O54 have been proved the promising microwave materials because of their favorable structural and electrical properties. Significant research has been done on these complex compounds. The excellent response of these ceramics has been utilized in a variety of devices such as multi-layered capacitors dielectric resonators filters sensors actuators etc. The principle aim is to design and achieve some suitable ceramic compounds with good dielectric properties at microwave frequencies for their possible use for various electronic applications such as capacitors dielectric resonators filters etc. So we have been working to correctly understand rare earth (Re) substituted barium titanate ceramic compositions in particular issues relating to their processing synthesis and structure-property relationships and also on the identification of higher performance materials for future applications. The microstructural properties of synthesized ceramic samples were investigated using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and the scanning electron micrography.
