The two volumes that comprise this work provide a comprehensive guide and source book on the marine use of composite materials. The first volume Fundamental Aspects provides a rigorous development of theory. Areas covered include materials science environmental aspects production technology structural analysis finite-element methods materials failure mechanisms and the role of standard test procedures. An appendix gives tables of the mechanical properties of common polymeric composites and laminates in marine use.
