<p><em>Composition of Life: A Memoir of Science and Spirituality</em> begins with a death but through that ending author Thane Kreiner PhD reveals deep connections within life that will help readers who are also on journeys of self-awareness and spiritual discovery.</p><p>As Kreiner’s mother dies from pancreatic cancer Kreiner learns from her the power of full forgiveness which sets him on a path through memories of growing up with an alcoholic and abusive father. Drawing on his background as a scientist he begins to see evidence and proof in spirituality as well and both help him along this journey. The stories in <em>Composition of Life</em> are rooted in history and connected with the #MeToo movement racism in the United States and climate change. Writing these essays led Kreiner to a place of forgiveness he never imagined was possible—something readers may find as well.</p>
