The trend of reducing the use of nuclear energy and the depletion of fossil fuel reserves as well as their more environmentally friendly use requires deepening the research of available resources in various directions. The goal is economic benefit - profit and at the same time achieving a better environmental effect. This is also the topic of this thesis. From the studies made on the quality of coal the following is concluded: Economic and environmental losses associated with spontaneous combustion of coal in the mine are unlikely subject to safety instructions; The ash content of coal is relatively high which reduces their quality. The coal mine works with subsidies from the state.
