Computational Image Evaluation of Multi-Square Aperture Optical System

About The Book

The designers of optical systems must be able to treat the image quality in order to have parameters which they can control. The field of image quality analysis is concerned with the development of quantitative merit functions which can be used to calculate image quality in user terms from lens design parameters. The most two complete measures of image quality in user terms are the point spread function (PSF) which is the Fourier transform of complex pupil function and the optical transfer function (OTF) which is the Fourier transform of PSF.
