<p>Computed tomography of the heart and cardiovascular system continues to show an impressive and tremendously successful development. Technical improvements translate into new applications and enhanced diagnostic accuracy and the new diagnostic opportunities may potentially be beneficial for many individuals with known or suspected cardiovascular disease. In order to assure that the potential of cardiovascular CT will optimally be used for patient care a continued strong joint effort concerning education and training further research and advocacy will be necessary.
