After thirty years of its invention the T-Scan system a computerized occlusal analyzer seems to be the answer in diagnosing and treating patients with occlusion-related temporomandibular disorders. This book is based on a Health Technology Assessment that includes a review of the diagnostic clinical and economic features of the T-Scan system. Evidence indicates that the T-Scan system is far more accurate and reliable than the conventional methods of occlusal analysis such as the articulating paper. Furthermore the T-Scan system is able to record quantitative data on occlusal force and contact timing which cannot be achieved through conventional occlusal registration techniques.
