''The Concepts and the laws of Adoption in Kenya'' is a book about finding understanding and consolidating the laws of adoption within the jurisdiction. The word finding is that the text brings together all the pieces of legislation that provides for the laws of adoption. These include; the Constitution of Kenya 2010; all the relevant international statutes; the Children''s Act 2021 and the Children''s (Adoption) Regulations 2022. In terms of understanding; the book critically analyses adoption of children in Kenya by analyzing adoption as an African concept as a Kenyan contemporary concept and as a human rights subject. As a legal text; the book answers legal political social cultural and philosophical questions about adopting a child in Kenya.
