Conceptual Clothing

An investigation into the use of the garment in contemporary art. This investigation looks at the garment as a signifier of the absent wearer and as a means of exploring the transience and dichotomies of identities. Focusing on the work of three artist Caroline Broadhead Jana Sterbak and Lucy Brown this book explores how artists are using the garment to explore the dichotomies of presence and absence escape and containment and public and private.
