Condition Monitoring of Power Cables using Partial Discharge

The study of texts magazines journals gives the opportunity to understand the nature of Partial Discharge and its underlying complex phenomena in case of the medium and low voltage cables. Hence the aim of this book is to monitor the conditions of the power cables by acquiring PD signals from them.So it can be concluded that PD activities in the cables will gradually degrade and erode the dielectric material. It will also cause long interruption costly repairs and loss of revenue. Hence the timely detection of the existence of partial discharge in power cables is very important.
