As a child he was a headache for his parents and a lazy dreamer. Later he was a liar prankster and less than sincere man who often treated his fellow man poorly. But while he was a sinner God forgave him and changed him. His narrow escapes from disaster while in cars and canoes Navy jets and dirt bikes showed him plainly that someone greater than he was watching over him. Engleman obtained theology degrees from Talbot Seminary (Th.M.) and the University of Vienna (D. Theol.).
