Consulting Classes; A Didactic Classroom Model

This paper presents Consulting Classes an innovative didactic alternative that optimizes educational learning in face-to-face blended and distance modalities empowering students and teachers. It does not seek to diminish the teacher's authority but rather to strengthen both in order to continuously improve.The Consulting Classes allow students to study by themselves the material provided by the teacher and through the exchange of knowledge deepen their understanding and resolve doubts. The teacher acts as a consultant advising and enriching the students' experiences.Based on educational theories and didactic models this approach integrates elements of constructivism collaborative learning and educational consulting. Differential and special didactics are fundamental adapting to the contextual and specific particularities of the educational groups.Educational consulting is conceived as a process of cognitive and emotional empowerment promoting the creation of collaborative learning communities and autonomy in learning.
