Consummation

<p><strong>Among the stories in <em>Consummation</em> a ghost hitchhikes his way to an abandoned drive-in leading his host further into a desert and away from delivering a mysterious package. The excavated head of Medusa begins outing anyone who comes into contact with it in an apocalyptic America. A man finds redemption and answers to his failing relationship in an obsession with wearing bowls on his head. A young editor watches a mother feed her child to lions at a zoo and subsequently decides that witnessing the act brings her success in life. With a combination of absurdism and genre-crossing these stories address disappearances abandonment childhood love triangles and characters mutated by late-stage capitalism with all its shapeshifting environments.</strong></p>
