Contemporary Challenges of Human Rights

About The Book

This book has attempted to resolve the controversy of ethical relativism in the philosophy and praxis of human rights. An attempt has been made to build a normative foundation to conceptually understand the problem of relativism and has successfully demonstrated how the problem of relativism is a genuine challenge and impacts negatively in the implementation of Universal Human Rights. Finally the book has proposed possible normative answers as to how to reconcile the dichotomy between universality and relativity (at least in principle) for the theoretical possibility of Universal Human Rights. The author argues from the standpoint of a universal concept of human rights.
