This study aimed at assessing the contribution of protected areas to the livelihoods of adjacent communities using Queen Elizabeth National Park as a case study. Specific objectives of the study were to examine the effect of crop raiding on food security; assessing the contribution of the park to household incomes and examining the relationship between protected areas and social capital formation.
