For Protestant adult education / EEB theological goals are part of its self-image. Concepts for new access options/educational offers have become necessary (dialogical forms - seminars - explorations - projects - workshops - study days; needs of those distanced from the church / choice of topics - premises. Increasingly there are differentiated expectations of religion and churches. Church members are divided into humanists (care of cultural heritage) everyday Christians (consistency of word and deed) demanding (individuality of belief and image of God) and young people (desire and spontaneity - distance and criticism). EEB sees itself as an access point for those distanced from the church. The EU's demand for lifelong learning with continuing education can be expanded in the EEB. The extent to which volunteer training is sufficient needs to be clarified because it is also about the group of part-time and full-time employees as addressees. In any case it is also a question of the next generation and the distribution of areas of activity in order to be able to carry out EEB.
