Control Loading System with Spherical Actuator

Control loading system (CLS) is a kind of control force sense equipment which provides pilots with rudder load feedback in flight simulator. Control loading system needs complex mechanical structure and multiple single degree-of-freedom (DOF) motors to achieve multi-DOF motion which increases the inertia redundant force thus affecting the output performance of the control loading system. Therefore the objective of this research is to propose a control loading system based on Halbach array spherical actuator which can realize multi-DOF motion in a single joint thus simplifying the mechanical structure of traditional control loading system reducing the excess inertia force and providing a favorable basis for improving the accuracy of force sense output.
