Cooperatives And Agricultural Production: A Member Level Analysis

There is no other better way to support rural farmers in Nigeria than through cooperatives. Cooperative societies have over the years proven that the cooperative advantage in the supply of farm inputs credit and farm extension has led to noticeable enhancements in rural income and reduction of rural poverty. The cooperative has an important responsibility for improving rural livelihoods by playing a significant role in improving the agricultural sector as majority of the population depends on it for their livelihood particularly in the rural areas.
