Counterweight

Counterweight is set in a future where humanity is on the verge of space colonization. The novel follows the journey of a group of passengers aboard a spaceship called the Auriga en route to Tierra II a newly discovered planet that is slated for human colonization. The passengers a diverse group of individuals selected to represent various aspects of human society embark on a six-month journey to this distant planet. The spaceship is designed to simulate the experience of living in a space colony with the crew and passengers expected to face psychological and physical challenges similar to those they would encounter in the new world. As the journey progresses tensions rise among the passengers and the psychological strain of being in confined quarters for an extended period begins to take its toll.
