Court Intervention Strategies on Juvenile Delinquency

Juvenile delinquency is widely acknowledged to be a global a regional and a national educational social and law enforcement problem. Despite the several strategies being used by courts to curb juvenile delinquency in Rarieda Sub-County still there are are failures on strategies and their administration processes. Most children still become delinquent within the villages and schools. In Rarieda Sub-County indiscipline cases such as strikes bullying drug abuse examinations cheating and pregnancy are higher (51%) than Siaya County at 44.1% and national average level at 42.7% and these leads to high delinquent level. Juvenile delinquency threatens students’ academic performance progress and success that can serve as an indicator of dysfunction in many other areas of human endeavor. Studies done have generally focused on the causes and effects without putting into consideration the intervention strategies for juvenile offences such as theft bestiality incest drug abuse and bullying.
