Craft activities in Yopougon Nord-Est

This book is a contribution to the management of the urban environment which is confronted with spatial problems linked to the practice of economic activities mainly those related to handicrafts. Côte d'Ivoire has undergone considerable urbanization since independence. From 12% in 1960 the urbanization rate rose to 50% in 2014 and will reach 52.5% in 2021. The Commune of Yopougon has become the scene of intense economic activity such as that of craftsmen. They set up precarious premises in the urban space. Artisanal activities generate waste and nuisances that are sources of spatial discomfort and pathologies for the population.
