Cranial Trauma

Traumatic brain injury is one of the most common causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The incidence is around 1.7 per million persons according to western statistics although it may be much higher in developing countries. Motor vehicular accidents are noted to be the most common aetiology and males in their middle age are mostly affected. Presentation can be varied depending on the nature and severity of injury. Computed tomography is the diagnostic modality of choice. Management depends upon the imaging findings and patient''s condition.
