CREATION OF MEDIUM-FIBER COTTON VARIETIES

The book presents the results of many years'' research of breeders Kurbonov A.Y. and Avtonomov V.A. as well as the results of joint research with the team of staff of the Laboratory of Plant Molecular Biology of Research Center Botanika headed by Academician A.A. It covers the results of research on hybridization analysis of a number of important quantitative traits including resistance to verticillosis and fusarium wilt associated with the requirements of production and textile industry as well as in conducting breeding work by creating complex and paired hybrids on the basis of interlinear interspecific crosses by creating genetically new initial material of cotton G.It identifies the possibility of using modern fundamental approaches in the selection of initial material for hybridization as well as at the stage of the first 3-4 hybrid generations during breeding.The book presents promising C-6570 and new varieties in the form of practical research results.
