In recent days there are hardly any banks left which are not affected by the recent turmoil on the credit market. That raises the question about the bank's credit risk management. The problems can in many cases be directly related to lax credit standards for borrowers and counterparties poor portfolio risk management or a lack of attention to the changes in economic or other circumstances. The aim of this book is to explain the credit risk management process from the rating of single facilities to sound credit risk portfolio management.
