About The Book

This work deals with the use of castor bean meal as a protein concentrate to replace soybean meal in meeting the nutritional requirements of lambs fed in a creep-feeding system while grazing. Castor bean meal has a high protein value and a lower cost than soybean meal and can be used in ruminant feed when detoxified. This project was carried out at the Federal University of Viçosa under the supervision of Professor Cristina Mattos Veloso. The Federal University of Viçosa contributed to this project by providing its laboratories experimental modules and staff; FAPEMIG by granting us financial aid and providing us with the use of space materials and equipment to carry out and analyze the project; and the CNPq funding agency.
