Crimes against minors

Children are the future of the country and their health and morals must be protected by law with special strictness since minors and young children do not have sufficient social experience which is why they are inherently trusting and defenseless. The lower the age of the minor the more defenseless he or she is. The family and the legitimate interests of minors are recognized as the priority areas of legal protection both in the Russian Federation and in foreign legislation. The range of crimes against minors is quite large and the measures of responsibility applicable to the persons who have committed these crimes are also diverse.
