Criminal health law

This compendium brings together the various legal texts applied in the healthcare field. It includes texts taken from the Moroccan Penal Code and laws relating to the practice of healthcare professions as well as penal provisions relating to the donation removal and transplantation of human organs and tissues. And the protection of persons participating in biomedical research. And the penal provisions relating to the organization of the exercise of forensic medicine missions the prevention and treatment of mental illness and the protection of the mentally ill. Moroccan law suffers from a flagrant lack if not absence of specific legal texts governing the work of health professionals following the example of the French public health code. In this respect most of the legal texts involved in liability cases are separate prescriptions belonging to different branches of law and more particularly general criminal law. And in this context the aim of this document is to provide professionals and stakeholders with an appropriate up-to-date working tool.
