<p>A loss of critical power to sources of community stability such as small businesses interrupts&nbsp;quality of life and can also cause serious economic implications if power is not quickly restored&nbsp;(Farrell Lave &amp; Granger 2002; Kharchenko &amp; Brezhnev 2012; Mitroff &amp; Alpaslan 2003b).&nbsp;&nbsp;Businesses that are prepared for or prone to crises become a critical component of national&nbsp;crisis/disaster resiliency (Herbane 2013) and for those businesses that maintain a level of&nbsp;preparedness stand ready to react to disasters through predetermined plans and training (Haddow&nbsp;Bullock &amp; Coppola 2011).&nbsp;The present study was concentrated on how small businesses addressed&nbsp;crisis management as influenced by interruption of electrical power.</p><p><br></p>
