Crop Insurance as a Risk Management Tool in Farm Production

The Book was written based on the research work on farm production risks and crop insurance schemes available to cope with risks in Puducherry district India. The book was organised in five chapters and structured to identify risks faced and coping mechanism employed by farmers in agricultural production. In addition it sought to find factors that influence purchase of crop insurance. The research findings pointed constraints like less information less attractive features less premium affordability complex documentation low compensation and difficulty in claim settlement were elaborated in the book chapters.
