Crossing Over

This is an advanced English conversation textbook for university students in Japan. The tasks and grammar exercises are based on topics of how Japanese culture and life have changed. It covers a wide range of social and cultural topics that include various formats: interviews consultations debates group discussions and surveys. The grammar that is presented came from actual errors Japanese students have made in their responses in previous material. Students are allowed to freely explore their opinions and ideas and as teachers are able to respond to their written comments students are able to have insightful feedback. The textbook is a refreshing change from other EFL/ESL textbooks that are sold in Japan. The fourth edition contains projects an exam and all readings have been updated along with current topics from 2014 and 2015.
