The Knights Templar were a famous order of knights that fought during the era of the Crusades. During their tenure in the Holy Land they were known to have discovered some of the world's most sought-after religious artifacts and eventually brought them to Europe. The Templars and their treasures vanished from sight when the order was falsely accused of various crimes.
