Growth of single crystal not only limited for the fundamental data acquisition of the compound but also used in many device applications in the solid state electronics owing to their comprehensive properties. Presently such crystals are being used as ferroelectric piezoelectric and optical crystals. In case of optical crystals if the crystal has the ability to manipulate the applied electric field of optical beams are termed as Non Linear Optical(NLO) crystals. Since the advent of this phenomenon there have been a number of new materials explored as potential candidates for large number of fascinating NLO applications such as information processing telecommunication optical switching frequency conversion etc. Hence the search design and growth of such new materials become one of the active discussions in the scientific literature over the few decades and this liveliness made the field as one of the unbounded areas of material science. Hence the present study deals with the growth and characterization of some organic based crystals for the possible nonlinear optical applications.
