College y Secretario Ejecutivo del Círculo de Cultura Panamericana. Obtuvo un Doctorado en Derecho de la Univesidad de la Habana y un Master of Art de Rutgers The State University of New Jersey y un Doctorado en Filosofía de New York University. Pertenece a la Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española y a muchas otras instituciones académicas.
