Cultural Diversity and Suicide

The literature on the relationship between culture and suicide has historically been widely scattered and often difficult to find. This well-organized book summarizes that widespread literature so that counselors can begin to include diversity issues--now recognized as important variables to consider--when conducting suicide assessments or interventions. Cultural Diversity and Suicide focuses on Americans of European African Asian Hispanic and Native American backgrounds and the cultural/ethnic variables the book examines focus on gender age religion and sexuality.
