Culture and the Nation-State

This book is about the role of cultural diplomacy in promoting mutual understanding among peoples belonging to different cultures. It deals with the history effectiveness and limitations of cultural diplomacy. The latter is a good instrument to lessen the gaps between nations for it boosts knowledge and recognition of each other. Lack of knowledge about each other is a great source of conflicts. In general policymakers should change their mind about the use of culture in international relations.
