This Special Issue Current Management of Hip Fracture in the Surgery section of MDPI's journal Medicina reports international studies regarding the different aspects of the treatment of patients suffering proximal femur fracture. Therefore these studies are not solely relevant to surgical strategies and the choice of implant but also focus on the whole process of treating patients after they have suffered a hip fracture. This Special Issue presents research on the whole treatment process starting with pre-surgery risk stratification followed by the results of studies on novel implants and strategies in the surgical treatment of hip fractures as well as the impact of patient-associated factors like malnutrition and anticoagulation on the outcome of hip fracture diagnosis. Two studies focus on the prevention of secondary fractures and the often underlying osteoporosis.
