Dr. Victor João da Cruz Fernandes is from Damão and was a witness of the supposed Liberation by the INDIAN UNION which did not pass of a forced occupation in which the people not conforming with the situation took the Damanenses emigrate abroad where life was more conducive to their way of living having lived under the Portuguese sovereignty for nearly five centuries without corruption under the laws and peacefully in harmony with all peoples of various races.The study reflects what they went through in those times.
