Dancing in the Alley

<P style=MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12pt><B><SPAN style=FONT-SIZE: 14pt>Melon Moon</SPAN> <BR></B>A melon moon <BR>You could eat with a spoon <BR>That's all there is tonight. <BR>A lover's wish <BR>On a crystal dish <BR>A curl of silver light. <BR>A twist of 'Thank you <BR>A slice of please <BR>In the midnight darkness glowing <BR>A rocking chair <BR>Suspended in air <BR>With only the rocker showing. <BR>A melon moon <BR>You could eat with a spoon <BR>Served with a single star <BR>A lover's wish <BR>On a crystal dish <BR>How beautiful you are. <BR>Melon Moon is a good example of my efforts to put pretty on paper. It's easy I think to snap a photo of something beautiful whimsical or thought provoking It's a greater challenge to capture such an object feeling or moment in words. <BR>Hopefully the reader will find that my poetry brings to life moments lived and tucked away or moments hoped for. Whether those moments are happy sad pensive or breathtaking is irrelevant. It is the poet's job to make the reader feel. </P>
