Each different story lulls you into a false sense of security and then POW! It hits you leaving you with a kaleidoscope of emotions. Throughout the book I was angry amused sad confused disgusted and shocked empathising with some of the characters. The writer really catches the darkness of each event making you shudder at the thought that these things really took place. I would love each of the stories in the book to have their own full-length story. I was left wanting more and not because it was not well written but because I wanted to know each character more. I found myself diving into the Bible to see if there was more background information on each character.All of the stories feel like they are told in a different style. Some I feel like I can hear the writers voice as a narration and some I can feel each of the characters voices coming through with accents! I think its great especially apparent in Disrespected.This is a great book for any reader Christian non-Christian fantasy lover romantic horror all mixed into one!
