About the Book: This fiction is the cross-section of the Adivasi( Indigenous Tribes) in the Dooars region of West Bengal. The main character in this fiction Darley was brought up in the church compound but she was backslidden to worldly pleasures. This fiction depicts the human tendency to slip into carnal desires and finally its very difficult to come back to normalcy. Darley was brought up in the mission compound like Pastor Stephens daughter. when she has grown up people consider her as a servant or slave. Darley realizes this reality very late. When Darley died no one was there to take care of her baby Deborah the love of Jesus prompted Hephzibah again to take care of the baby. About the Author: Dr. Johnson George is a social worker and philanthropist who was working among marginalized people. He left his comforts and settled in the Dooars region of North West Bengal. He published his autobiography Grace Upon Grace in English and its Malayalam and Hindi translations in the press. His bestselling book “Corruption Reigns” was published by Namya Press Delhi. He wrote many articles in English and Malayalam periodicals. Dr. Johnson holds a B. Com degree from the University of Kerala a Bachelor of Divinity from Union Biblical Seminary Pune and Master of Arts (MA) in History from IGNOU a Master of Arts (MA) in Rural Development from IGNOU Doctorate in Ministry (D. Min) from Covington Theological Seminary Georgia USA and LLB (Hons) From Himalayan University Arunachal Pradesh. He traveled to 26 countries and his writings reflect the wide spectrum of his experience.
