I love Daron and Ziggy-together or apart but better together. I love the descriptions of music in DGC the tales of touring the frustrations of the crooked record companies. These books read like a perch on the shoulder of a kid growing up accidentally famous in the late '80s and I love that too.</p><p><br></p><p>A grand feat of altogether consummate storytelling. From the moment Daron was introduced as a teenager in the '80s in Chapter One not only afraid of anyone finding out he's gay but so afraid of simply being gay Tan has taken readers on a journey deep into the life of her young guitar prodigy.</p><p><br></p><p>I think this is my favorite volume so far. Daron takes himself on a strange side trip that helps him to develop both musically and personally and when he gets back... everything's a little bit more interesting for it.</p>
