<p>Saddam Hussein (1937-2006) was the president of Iraq from 1979-2003. In 2003 coalition forces invaded Iraq and deposed Hussein. In 2006 he was tried by the Iraqi Interim Government and convicted of the retaliatory executions of 148 Iraqi Shiites. He was executed on December 30 2006. Part 1 of this release is a March 10 2005 Prosecutive Report of Investigation written for the Iraqi Special Tribunal concerning Hussein's commission of crimes against humanity war crimes and genocide. Part 2 consists of interviews conducted by the FBI while Hussein was in U.S. custody in 2004; the release's contents range from 2004 to 2006.
