Days in Cryplone

Days in Cryplone is a mystery novel written by Yadava Sarath Chandrika that takes place in the fictional city of Cryplone. It is a story about three students Anya Ray and Kai who in their early 20s find themselves stuck in a crime while unravelling the secrets of the clandestine adult world. As the story unfolds the novel delves into each of their life stories and the reasons for the actions. The story reflects the theme of karma as it progresses as well as the impact of secrecy and wrongdoings of the adult world. The three university students come across a series of murders occurring in Cryplone that are closely related to their families. The story comes to an end with the reveal of secret relations and darker truths that are linked to them resulting in life-altering choices made by the protagonists and the adults in the past and present. Yadava Sarath Chandrika is an aspiring writer coming from a working class family hailing from Pyalakurthy village Kodumur Mandal in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. She is currently pursuing her Undergraduation in English. She draws inspiration from the new age authors like Chetan Bhagat as well as prominent authors such as R K Narayan and Agatha Christie. Days in Cryplone is her maiden novel marking her first step into the literary world. Through this novel she provides a sense of relief by cultivating positive emotions and thoughts by reflecting the complex mind-sets of people in the world. In 2021 she participated in the Down Ancient Traits: Online Archaeology workshop. She also presented a research paper titled Women and the Indian village: a case from Pyalakurthy Rayalaseema Andhra Pradesh at the National symposium on Achieving Gender Equality in India: Opportunities and Challenges Jointly organized by Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence kalaburgi Karnataka and Vasanta Collage for Women Rajghat Varanasi Uttar Pradesh. As the youngest participant she showcased a strong research-oriented mindset. Finally she aspires to keep producing works with upbeat ideas that inspire people through life’s inevitable challenges.
