Dear BYG (Black Young Gifted) Kid...

<p><strong><em>Dear BYG (Black Young Gifted) Kid... was originally written as a poem to encourage young Black children to love themselves and embrace who God created them to be.</em></strong><em> </em><strong><em>This book includes a list of daily affirmations that will reinforce a positive self-image.</em></strong><em> BYG kids will be inspired to keep striving to reach their goals and excelling while using their God-given gifts.</em></p><p><em>This book highlights the diverse characteristics of Black children and captures positive images of the multigenerational Black family. </em><strong><em>It celebrates academic excellence and includes a Glossary to help young readers.</em></strong><em> This book incorporates the much-needed presence of the church and prayer in the Black community. BYG kids will be empowered with a renewed sense of self-confidence and belonging.</em></p><p><em>The author emphasizes that our history must never be forgotten. BYG kids will not know our history if they are not taught it.</em></p><p><em>This inspirational book will be a treasured addition to BYG kid's book collections now and for generations to come. </em></p>
