Debate on Inter-Transdisciplinarity of Information Science

This book presents the conceptual evolution of the terms disciplinarity multidisciplinarity transdisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity of Information Science based on a consolidated theoretical framework. Its main objective is to analyze the scientific research developed in the context of interdisciplinarity of information in more than one area of knowledge.It contemplates the epistemological discussion of information object of study of Information Science in its different approaches especially cognitive economic and political. The relationships and distinctions between the different concepts of information as well as the contexts and applications of information and its characteristics of transversality and interdisciplinarity are emphasized.
