Decentralised cooperation in Burkina Faso

About The Book

Decentralised cooperation first appeared in Europe after the Second World War. It subsequently spread to other countries particularly in Africa. People-to-people cooperation is seen as a factor in grassroots development. The town of Diébougou therefore decided to engage in decentralised cooperation with a view to improving the daily lives of its population. It twinned with Floirac a French town. How can decentralised cooperation be a factor in local development in the city of Diébougou? Numerous actions have been carried out within the framework of decentralised cooperation. These include education health and the economy. The aim is to measure the impact of these actions on the development of the city of Diébougou i.e. on improving the daily lives of the local population.
