DECISION SCIENCE

Decision Science (also called Management Science orOperation Research) is an approach to decision makingwhich utilizes extensively quantitative analysis.Students training to become managers who work in orinteract with the service and or the manufacturingindustries need to know how managers can solve bothsimple and complex problems using mathematical models. This text provides students with a sound conceptualunderstanding of the role Decision Science plays inthe decision-making process. It focuses on theapplication of decision science by using problemsituations to introduce each of the concepts andtechniques used to evaluate practical problems andmake decisions about issues they will face in theirfuture careers. Decision Science has been designed tomeet the needs of students with weak mathematicalbackground who are studying business and economics.
