<p>In August of 1861 Queensland Constable Matthew Connolly was on horseback carrying life-saving medication between the Queensland towns of Ipswich and Gatton. He risked his life to cross a flood-swollen stream and was swept away losing his life in the torrent.</p><p>This story is the history of this brave policeman and how many years later his courage is finally being recognised.</p>
