Deep in the Shallow End

Christian students spend their summer immersed in fun and life-changing spiritual activities such as camps mission trips overnighters and VBS. It'll last all year they say. This will be the year that I make a difference for Jesus! Sadly each year the steam runs out by mid-October. Deep in the Shallow End is a 20-day devotional that encourages students to take practical steps to live out their faith in the shallow end of the year - when they are no longer surrounded by supportive Christian friends and are faced daily with distractions and temptations. Designed to be used at the beginning of any quarter or semester this book looks at the life trials of Moses Joshua and Jesus Christ Himself as He stepped down from the ultimate spiritual mountaintop to dwell in the shallow end here on earth. Challenging questions are posed to the reader for either self-reflection or group study and are accompanied by guided journal space and touching and humorous camp stories from the author's own experience.
