<p>A novel is a prose story in which a picture of human life is presented. That is the novel is a mirror in which different forms of life can be seen. This novel DeewaareiN (The Walls) is probably the first Urdu novel written on the film shot technique the narrative of which is so vivid and so new that the reader feels while reading the novel as if he/she is watching a long film. The story of a wealthy mistress and her maid who are brought up by the former's mother is the true plot of this book. It just so happens that they both fall in love with the same wealthy man as adults. However what happens to them as time passes? The ebb and flow of human emotions is a recurring theme in this book.</p><p>/</p><p>یہ ناول دیواریں فلم شاٹ تیکنیک پر لکھا گیا شاید اردو کا پہلا ناول ہے جس کے بیانیے میں اتنا نکھار اور اتنا نیا پن ہے کہ قاری ناول پڑھتے ہوئے محسوس کرتا ہے کہ جیسے وہ ایک طویل فلم دیکھ رہا ہو۔ یہ کہانی ایک امیر مالکن اور اس کی خادمہ کی کہانی ہے جو ایک عورت کے ذریعے پرورش پاتی ہیں۔ اور اتفاق سے جوان ہونے پر وہ دونوں ایک ہی مالدار شخص پر فدا ہوتی ہیں۔ مگر وقت کا بہاؤ انہیں کہاں لے جاتا ہے ۔۔۔ یہ ناول انسانی جذبات کے اتار چڑھاؤ کی اسی داستان کو بیان کرتا ہے۔</p>
